Chair - David Sheldon

David was appointed to the Board in August 2011 and elected Chair in October 2012

After taking a country change from life in Northern Queensland, David built Elm Cottage, a luxury 4.5 Retreat in Tumut and has many years experience as a Board member of the local and regional tourism tourism organisations in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW.

Deputy Chair - Simon Ambrose

Simon Ambrose was first elected as a Director of the ARTN in August 2010 and appointed Deputy Chair at his re- election in October 2012. 

Simon is the Chief Executive of the Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association in Western Australia.

Treasurer - Lori Modde

Lori Modde has been on the Board of the ARTN since 2008 and elected to the role of Treasurer in October 2012.

Lori has a wealth of experience in the tourism and events industry and her passion for regional tourism is clear demonstrated by her work and by being awarded the NSW Outstanding Contribution to Regional Tourism in 2011.

Secretary - Amanda McCulloch

Amanda was elected to the Board in October 2012 after serving 12 months as an ex- officio board Director in her role as the 2011 ARTN Young Regional Tourism Professional.

Amanda is currently the Executive Officer of the Goulburn River Valley Tourism Association.

2012 ARTN Young Regional Tourism Professional - Sally Garnett

Regional Tourism is something that Sally has been involved in since the beginning, starting in Visitor Servicing in WA having gained firsthand experience on the challenges and successes which come with the industry. 

Working with operators to ensure their business was marketed within the visitor centre and bookings were made was key to the role. From the front line Sally progressed to working direct with regional tourism in delivering the ATAP program in WA with Tourism Council WA.

Director - Mandy Bellingham

Mandy Bellingham has been a Director of the ARTN since August 2009 and elected to the role of Treasurer in 2011.

Mandy is the Manager of Regional Partnership Programs for Destination NSW.

Ian Waller was appointed to the ARTN Board in August 2009.

Ian is also the Regional Tourism Development Manager for the Cradle Coast Authority on Tasmania's North West Coast - a position he has held for 10 years.

Jeff was elected to the Board of ARTN in 2011 and is the Northern Territory representative.

Jeff has a wealth of experience and brings to the board a different outlook for addressing the challenges of regional tourism.

Director - Anita Donnelly

Anita Donnelly has been a Director of the ARTN since August 2009. 

Anita currently sits on the Young Australian Tourism Export Council (YATEC) Board and is a member of the Young Tourism Network.

Linda Tillman was appointed to the ARTN Board in October 2012. 

Linda is the sole Director of Tilma Management Services and currently holds the position of Executive Officer for Riverina Regional Tourism

Director - Peter Cahalan

Peter Cahalan joined the board in early 2012.

Peter is the Industry Partnerships Manager with the South Australian Tourism Commission and as such is responsible for liaison with the State’s eleven regional tourism organisations. Before that he was tourism manager for the  Flinders Ranges and Outback SA region and before that as interpretive manager for the SATC had substantial engagement with regional tourism.
