The Australian Regional Tourism Network (ARTN), is the peak national body representing regional tourism practitioners providing leadership to the industry.  The ARTN supports its members by providing opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing and advocacy to foster sustainable regional development.

Tourism is vital to the ongoing sustainability and vibrancy of many regional communities. Nearly half of the nation’s tourism expenditure occurs in regional Australia, equating to more than $18.8 billion in revenue.  The penetration of the tourism dollar throughout communities is another indicator of its importance.  Eateries, accommodation houses, attractions and retail outlets all benefit directly from increased visitation as do petrol stations, pharmacies, sign writers, primary producers and more.

The ARTN delivers to its members by taking an active role in assisting the federal government with the development and implementation of robust and sustainable long term tourism strategies, distributing imperative and timely information and providing a forum for support, cooperation and collaboration.

The ARTN is an incorporated not for profit organisation run by Members for Members.
